Paint Question

I have a 72 Cheyenne Super that is Medium Blue and White. However, it is only white on the top, not down the center also. I haven't seen any other Supers that werent two toned with the top and center being painted. Is this rare? Any help would be great.

Re: Paint Question

Truck has never been repainted. I bought it from the original owner and it was like that from the factory.

Re: Paint Question

It is not as common as the 4-way paint, but I have seen plenty of SUPERS with white top only and several solid paint SUPERS too all with original paint.

Re: Paint Question

I've seen a few solid body white top Supers. I'd love to see pics of yours, you see so many blue/white/blue trucks it'd be nice to see another take on the medium blue.

Re: Paint Question

The info I have seen says the white/blue white/ blue was the most popular optioned color combo. The two tone combo was offered as standard- main color and white top and as deluxe two tone that offered the wht top, color, wht and color, the deluxe option added a little cost to end price, Just because it was a super does not make it have a two tone, the two tone just works well with the chrome scheme. My 4x4 has white top and medium olive body standard two tone, my 71 has the white/black/white/black deluxe two tone. Hope this helps, Harold

Re: Paint Question

I have a questions?
1: Does it have the chrome seperating the blue from the white, it should be just above the gas cap.

And as stated earlier, not super rare, as I have seen them on here before. Infact your not the only one to ask this question.

Can't wait to see the pictures.
