Re: Change Oil Light

If it's like my 2000 GMC you turn the key on without starting the engine and depress the gas pedal 3 times then turn it off. Then it should be good. Yeah, crazy isn't it? It works.

Re: Change Oil Light

Turn key on, DO NOT START. Push the gas pedal all the way to the floor 3 times. Then turn key off and then start engine. Light should flash and then go out. Just be sure that you let all the way off of the gas pedal each time

Re: Change Oil Light

Does the same thing work to reset the DIC's engine oil life number? Changed my oil today and it still says 42%

Re: Change Oil Light

Grey Ghost, it should work the same as if the Change Oil message was on. It will reset it back to 100%.
