Q: 72 Bench Seat - does type of trans matter?
I have added a 1972 K20 with 4sp on the floor to my stable. I am replacing the aftermarket buckets with a factory bench.
Question: Do I need to look for a bench that came out of a manual trans truck or can I use a bench that comes out of a column shift automatic? Not sure if the floor tunnel on cab floor was same for either style of drive line. Extra credit if you have buying advice on pieces to look for. I understand to inspect the brackets, the wires and S hooks that connect sliders, and for missing springs. Any other tribal knowledge appreciated. |

Thank you. Found a nice one in Phoenix for $100. And off to the ATM I go.
