AC Control Not working

Now that the worst of the hot weather is behind us here in the Midwest, I've decided it's time to see if we can get the AC working.

The previous owner said the control in the dash quit working and somebody installed a jumper to turn the AC on and off. I would like to see if this can be fixed, but I don't really know where to start.

How does the heater/AC control work. What happens when you push the levers around that makes the heat/def/ac come on and off?

Thanks in advance.

Cool Re: AC Control Not working

There is a push button connected to the bottom lever that when you select it all the way to the left it suppose to push the button in and the compressor turns on.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: AC Control Not working

The electrical switch that turns the compressor on is attached to the diverter box and is activated by a lever via a cable. Here is a picture of the diverter box and other parts of the AC . The diverter box is the box hanging down with the push button switch attached to it.
