4l60E question

So as I gather knowledge and parts for my 76 swap I am looking at transmissions to go with a 2000 on up 5.3l swap. The eaierler style one piece bell housing 4l60e are eiser to find and less money than the two piece and I understand that the shift solinoids will need to be changed due to the pulse width modulation differences. But are thier any real differences or disadvantages to the earlier transmissions? thanks in advance

Matt

Re: 4l60E question

I believe the 96 and 97 transmissions are pulse width modulated and are one piece bell housing.

Re: 4l60E question

You need to use an adapter to put the early to the Ls block, so any savings is negligible. Jay
