Rattling Noise

My truck is making a rattling noise. Can't seem to place it. It seems to be somewhere under the cab. It only seems to do it at idle and only when starting cold......... it'll do it until I rev it and then it seems to quit. I had kinda thought it could be a piece of gravel ratting around someplace....... Could it be something with the cold that has just really started??? or what?

Could just be an exhaust rattle, check all the mountings/clamps.

I think my rattle is the torque converter, but who knows.

I had a rattle in the last winter beater. I looked that thing over and over and never found it.

How old are your mufflers? Could be a loose piece of metal inside the muffler.

The front pump in my 700R4 was starting to go bad, in my Z28, and it made a nasty tick until warmed up....just something to think about. Don't know if a TH350 is the same way with pumps, or not.....

TJ

PS- The truck is looking good man

I stopped trying to find all my rattles. I just watch my mirrors for crap falling off.
Kinda funny seeing someone swerve real fast to avoid a part when they knew they were tailgating in the first place.

I've had a tick for a while and thought it was an exhaust leak that needed to be fixed...... I dunno. Once it warms up its fine.
