Upper Radiator mount (where?)

Hello: I am looking for the bracket that holds the radiator on the top. I already have the U-shaped mounts from the bottom with the pads but I can't seem to find the one from the top ANYWHERE.

Specs:
1965 C10 with a new Champion 2row radiator.

I found a picture of what it should look like (from TR65 I think). I have seen them around in this forum but I can't find where to buy them. Junk yard?

Re: Upper Radiator mount (where?)

You might need to custom fabricate your if the top of the radiator has a different thickness than the original Harrison radiator.

The original top support has 2 U shaped brackets with rubber inserts. These are spot welded to a flat plate with the proper bends. You could make one up easily enough if you have a metal brake and a welder.

True, buying a salvage part would be easier.

The pic below are for reference and should be correct for a 1960-1966 C10 with a short-wide V8 radiator and the last photo is for a tall-narrow L6 radiator.

Re: Upper Radiator mount (where?)

There are 2 different upper radiator hold downs as well as the lower saddles for the V8 radiator. There the ones for the 2 and 3 row core radiators and a wider one for the 4 row core radiator.

Re: Upper Radiator mount (where?)

I have an extra top part, I also have a champion and mine fit well with some trimming of the rubber or you can use a thinner piece of rubber( this is what I did).

If you want it, Ill place a for sale in the parts section.

Re: Upper Radiator mount (where?)

Sounds like a much cheaper idea! Please post some pics of your finished product. I'd love to see it.

They are reproduced now, but if you want an original, please post a new thread in the 60-66 parts board

Thanks! I saw some originals on eBay but didn't realize the were reproduced now. I see a big difference in price from LMC ($14.95) and CJpony parts $32.99

Happy to help! I found an original for mine before they were being reproduced, so I have no experience on if there's a difference in quality or if it's just a difference in who's reselling it
