17" Tires

Thinking of going with 235/70/17 tires/rims on my 47 3600. Will these work ok?
Stock ride height and suspension....

Re: 17" Tires

30 inches tall with a 9.5 section width. 8 inch wide wheels?

I've got 235-70 16 tires on 8 inch wheels n my 71 GMC and they are pretty close in size.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: 17" Tires

a lot would depend on your wheel offset and ride height.

Re: 17" Tires

I don't think you have an issue height wise as they came with certain tires that were that tall. rim width and back spacing may be an issue though/

Re: 17" Tires

It might not help you, but I have a 4 inch drop axle with 17x8's and a 4.5 inch backspace on my 3100. Only thing that was close was the tie rod ends.

With a stock suspension, I would think that you are ok. But dont take my word for it.

Re: 17" Tires

Thanks, guys! I am a ways away from actually mounting tires/rims, but am trying to get "loose ends" figured out to stave off the "lastminuteitis"....
