Hello everybody

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have a 1972 C-20 Custom Camper that my grandfather bought in the early 80's from a company that used it as a work truck for a drilling company. He put a 350 from a 1977 in it in about 1983 when he retired and changed the Chevy 400 tranny to a 4 speed standard to use on his farm. Sold it to my dad in about 1986 and was his daily driver until he parked it in 1999 behind his shop. It has sat there every since. My dad has moved on to other projects, but still picked up parts for it at swap meets over the years. Last month I asked if I could have it, bought a battery and it fired up after sitting there for 6 years.

The cab corners are rusted (have new ones to put on), passenger door is dented (have another one ready to prime), tailgate is beat up (have another one ready to prime). Plenty of surface rust, but no holes except the cab corners. It had two tanks on it, but the cab tank got cracked and my dad pulled it out before he parked it, so I'm only running on the reserve right now. I plan on putting a Suburban gas tank (have it). Before he parked it, he redid the entire dash with new gauges and dash cover. The body is straight (except for the door) and some dings here and there.

It has factory A/C (but the compressor is out), a sidebed toolbox on the passenger side, an alluminum grille, and a LOT of dirt dobber nests in various spots.

I have big plans for this truck, as money will allow. As it stands now, it's in good shape with 338k on it and will get me from here to there with no trouble. It even passed inspection on the first try, with mud and grass still on the tires from the hibernation. I'll get some pictures of it up when I can.

I look forward to interacting with you all!

Tom
