I know thier is nothing wrong with either but I bought my truck to make into a short bed. I don't want to use it for that now, it's to nice. I already have a swb frame and bed. My problem is I can't get much out of the gmc to buy another donor truck with same options, but again it would be a shame to take it apart., Just looking for inspiration to keep it stock.

Trust me, there are plenty of short beds... hard loaded longhorns are hard to find. We have both and love em all but I would not kill THAT longhorn.

Sold them with it...they were 16.5's....not hard to find and a pain to get the right size tires for that look good. Sold it because I am working away from the 67-72's. I have gotten rid of most of my collection. Basically did some horse trading but ended up getting about $6500 for it. It was advertised on this site in several places for almost a year.

This one does not count nor is original, but here is my C-30 Longhorn mutt project. I sold it too.

After 20 years and 150-200 of them Im ready to play with some pre-war stuff! I will always have 1 or 2 67-72's and my 1966 short fleet but its time to devote some space to something different.

Very nice truck you have there. Just my opinion, but you really should keep this one stock. Long Horns are far and few between. There are many c/10 or c/20 plain janes out there to cut up. I think you would regret it if you cut this one up. Like I said, just my opinion. Great Truck! Thanks.

Re: Can I please see mostly original......chevy / gmc 3/4 ton, 1ton trucks. 127" 133"

Just picked up a 60K+ original miles 70 Custom Camper/20. No pics yet but it's gotten more thumbs up and positive comments than my SWB did. The best part of the deal was I needed a 3/4 or one ton for a project spread out over two states when the truck fell into my lap. After spending the better part of a day to get it roadworthy, I towed a loaded trailer nearly 1700 miles without a problem.

I'd say keep the truck as is.....they getting more rare each year.
