Re: 69 blazer BOONDOCKER........
Is the kit re-issued or are we talking about the Jada diecast?

Re: 69 blazer BOONDOCKER........
That`s right,it was Johnny Lightening.Besides,I looked at my kit and it`s a 71/72 grille on the original and JL made it a 69 because that`s what their Blazers are.

Re: 69 blazer BOONDOCKER........
Wow, that is cool. I never saw a small Boondocker before.
Here is an original Boondocker model kit that I build in the 90’s. Fabbed up a lift kit and added Swampers. The Boondocker kit was been reissued a year or so ago so I bought a case of them from http://www.modelroundup.com/index.html a while back. 4 kits come in a case. http://www.modelroundup.com/modelking.html

Re: 69 blazer BOONDOCKER........
Do ou still have that? That`s a great job and looks like something we might see in real life. When I had my green`71 I was laid up with a broken foot in winter. The Thunderbolt kit was out then and I built a replica of the Blazer. The kit comes with the normal axles and wheels, too.I robbed the wheels and tires from a`78-1sh Monogram kit...Ground Hawgs.Close enough.I had 13/37 Super Swampers and these were about 14.50/38s.I gave it and a lot of other monster truck stuff to a buddy of my son`s.He had CP and was showing interest in the 4wd scene at about 10 y.o. I wonder what he drives today. He`d be about 32 now.

Re: 69 blazer BOONDOCKER........
Yeah, I still have it. It sits on my desk in a model display box. I remember that Thunder Bolt kit. I build one of those too many years ago….now you got me wondering where it is? It is probably in a box around here somewhere.
