Sent one down the road today.
This 71 K10 is what got me into these crazy trucks. Its the longest Ive ever owned a vehicle...over 12 years.
Dennis (old iron) was in need of a 4x4 and he saw that this one was just going to be sitting packed away in a barn. He also knew I really liked his old 41 Caddy and he probably wasnt going to do anything with it (considering he's had it since 72 LOL). Anyway as most of you already know we worked out a trade deal. It was kinda sad to see her go, but I know Dennis will take real good care of her and have her looking better than I would ever have gotten around to. After many weekends of going to get to this, and things coming up to get in the way, he was finally able to take the 4x4 home. Hopefully I can get the Caddy next weekend. Im pretty sure the first thing he's going to do is hose it off

My thoughts exactly Mike. The 4x4 is going to be much better off...look at my track record when it comes to actually finishing anything lol.

Re: Sent one down the road today.
Well I got the bird poo special home. Had to wash the windshield off just to unload it from the trailer. What I want to know is how CG trained the birds in the barn to poo only on MY truck while his was parked next to it without a drop of poo on it.

Don't be upset with CG; those are his birds and they were only protecting the truck from a CLEAN sale.

Re: Sent one down the road today.
Yeah, it was the truck we started before either were old enough to drive. I eventually gave it to my youngest. Then my youngest kept coming back to the "trough" for financial help way too many times. Last time he did it I gave him some funds and took the truck back.

Re: Sent one down the road today.
There are a few pictures of it in my albums. Just click on the blue lettering down below and it opens up a page...over to the right you can click on 41 Caddy.
I actually have no plans for it as of now. I really have too much other stuff going on. NEED TO GET MY PANEL DONE!! LOL Caddy will be put away in a different barn (almost no birds in this one) and tarped over for who knows how long =)

Re: Sent one down the road today.
Sorry to go off topic but what was that big open air barn originally built for? Just looks very large so I am sure it had a specific purpose. I have always wondered since seeing longhorn mans burbrific trip thread when he was there (I think it is the same barn in that thread).

Re: Sent one down the road today.
Good question Cameo! Although it appears that's all it's used for these days, I doubt the original owners had truck and Suburban storage in mind when they built it back in the day!

Re: Sent one down the road today.
Yeah, its a hay bunker. I just strung a cable and tarps across the front for a little bit of cover from the elements.

What's the story on the 56' hanging around the rafters? Some nice old iron in that garage.

Re: Sent one down the road today.
Thanks for helping me out with my curiosity. I had no clue. They must have had alot of pastureland to fill that big barn up with hay.
