The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
We all have those boxes in the garage, basement, and attic with parts that we're never going to use, and can't be bothered to list for sale. It's time to do a good deed, and offer up your unwanted items to others in need.
Some basic rules: 1. Your item must be free. If you want to sell, this forum has clear rules. 2. You must list your location, and if you are willing to ship (it's ok to charge actual shipping). No "$20, shipped" (this would be against the forum rules). Free, plus actual shipping. This is not a FS thread. 3. Please post a picture of your item/items if possible. Yes, we know that some things will be buried under junk, and no one wants to drag something out for a pic if someone else doesn't want it. 4. PM the member offering the free item to keep this thread uncluttered. 5. When your item is claimed, post that it is gone. 6. The best rule: if you claim something... you have to "pay it forward" by offering something else. Big or small, it doesn't matter. Just something to keep the ball rolling. 7. No requests. If someone doesn't offer it today... check back tomorrow! Mods, feel free to add/edit rules as needed. Last edited by 63 & 64 Bowties; 05-21-2015 at 07:27 AM. |

Re: The 60-66 "Pay It Forward" thread!
I'll get things started.
This place was really welcoming when I first joined. I had members offering to drive to check trucks out, and giving me great deals on parts. One of the really nice things someone did was to give me a set of correct wheels for my truck. My 65 came with a set of earlier clip-style wheels, and I couldn't use my correct hubcabs on the clip wheels. So, I'll offer up a full set of four 15" three-clip wheels, free. I'm going to keep that 6 clip wheel with the tire, it will make a spare for my 65. Don't know what year they are, someone will. I can dismount that old WW. Ideally, someone local-ish. I'm in Ottawa, ON. I don't mind driving a bit. If we have to ship, we can figure it out. |

Re: The 60-66 "Pay It Forward" thread!
This is a great thread Jason, well done !!
I have benefited from the openheartedness on this forum quite a few times and over here in the UK I also do the same, as do some of the other UK members like my mates Martin and Kerry. My full set of chrome trims went to Paul Y on here and various bits have gone to other guys. If it is a small item, I am happy to carry postage, but I always feel that Paypal for the postage of stuff I send or receive is only fair. I really hope this thread keeps to its original brief and that guys respect the "PAY IT FORWARD ETHOS" This is an amazing forum and community.

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
This is a great idea, I'm sure if I start digging I'll have even more things that I don't actually need for my truck, that someone else could use.
Free roof for a '64-'66 cab. It has a small spot of rust in the driver's front corner of the roof skin, and the front panel is shot, but it might be useful to someone. I bought it but don't need it now that I found a better cab. Pickup in RI only, no shipping.

And nice score on the floormat. Luckily I went to carpet in the stepside so I can use the mat in the fleetside. I tried to PM you on the 63 grill support, but your inbox is full. You can send the rectangle box with the mat too.....hahahaha

Re: The 60-66 "PAYING IT FORWARD" thread!
Some freebies I had listed on the parts forum for a few weeks. They are still available, just cover shipping.
Pair of pigtail looms....new reproduction Points distributor sb/bb out of a 71 chevelle 350 originally OEM stepside taillamp housing....will clean up nicely. Little surface rust, no rot. Brake pedal assembly

I have this passenger suburban seat if anyone can use it. Rather not ship. I'm sure I have some more parts to throw on here.

Hubcap is going to a new home in exchange for a generous donation to Zane's Ride, Thank You bullwinkle3331
1966 - 8 7/8" inner diameter hubcap ( 3/4 or 1 ton with single wheels ). This cap has met a curb a few times. I've hammered out a few of the bigger dings. Needs work. Like my other parts from the past, I'll ship it for free if you make a donation to Zane's Ride.
