Re: 292 help

I'm not sure as to what you are looking for, I happen to have a couple pictures on the computer so will post them. I have a 292, but have installed the carb and manifolds from a 250 on it, not sure if it's the same or not. Here goes: The bottom one may not help much, it's showing how I mounted the bracket for the TV cable for the 200-4R

Re: 292 help

Your post says "1967 Custom", so this is my old '67 Rochester B, linkage and manifold. Very basic.

"a 292 stock setup" can come in a lot of variations, depending on year. You had a previous post where you were looking for a carb and manifold and may have found a '69 Monojet.

I'm not a real fan Of the Monojet as there were hundreds of variations. Most looked more like porcupines than carbs, with a dozen vacuum ports sticking out of them. For the guys that insist on manifold vacuum for their dist, this pre-emissions Rochester B has a ported vacuum port ONLY. No manifold vacuum port. The vacuum for the PCV had to be taken from the intake manifold. Just thought I'd point that out.

Old51's linkage seems to have an added feature for auto trans linkage.

Re: 292 help

I can send you some pics of mine in the morning. If you like you can stop and look at it too at home or I will have it at work tomorrow most of the day there in the Village of Los Ranchos. You still working off of Edith?
