Help: Under Hood A/C Actuator (for fresh air door)

Ordered a new Actuator and the center metal arm spins around, it is not in a fixed position.
Installed it, when it's actuated it jumps out of the arm on the firewall.
Sent it back, got another one from another supplier, same problem.
Original that came off the truck has fixed arm.

So, do I have to wire this thing together ?? Anyone else experience this problem ??

Pretty sure that is supposed to have a push nut on it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked at the Assembly Manual for the 2nd time and now see that yes there is supposed to be a nut.
I put a 'speed nut' on it and it seems to be holding.
Thank you for your help !

Nice to have that photo! Mine needs replacing, but the push-nut was missing right off the bat. Moot point, since the vacuum line was disconnected. My FiL did a lot of MM stuff that I'm slowly back out of the thing.

Steevee, I ordered a tiny assortment off Ebay for $7.
Think I will have an extra of correct size, if so I will drop one in the mail to you, if you want.

I appreciate that, but I have some already.

By replacing, I meant the valve. I have yet to go buy it.
