I had hoped for a bigger turn-out, but it was still fun. Hope the next time we all get together is HUGE, and maybe I'll actually be able to bring my '68!

Wish I could have made it. Next time we should have it in a mid-between place. Maybe Waco or Austin. That way we could could all drive a little to get there.

I really enjoyed the meet. It is great to put a face with a screen name. My wife even seemed to enjoy the afternoon. Thanks to all who participated. It was a great afternoon. I even picked up a few items that were on my wish list. Can't wait to see some of the pic's.

it was a decent turnout a little better than i expected, i am glad we where able to pull this off even though i still cant call half of you guys by your first name only by your board names, yes i do think maybe if we do it again it should be more in central Texas so we could maybe get a few more out there, i thought i was going to put up some pics but my computer is acting up so i will put them up later.

Re: Post Texas Board Meet
Thank you MrShelly for posting that picture (white 67) and thanks to the forum for still having them up. I lost my truck years ago to unforeseen circumstances and haven't seen it since. This is now the only picture I have !

It was a great time for everybody. Couldn't ask for a nicer bunch of guys.
That dude from Corinth sure scared us though, I thought someone was going to get shot for a second there. I notice no one posted a picture of the Tx Firefighter Death Cycle (TM). Some of the guys seem to think I have a death wish or something. Orange County Choppers got nothing on me.

Good pics Shelly. It was nice to meet some of you guys out there.
You guy's should have gone to Denton with us last night for the King of The Hill race. It was quite interesting. Not alot of racing, tons of clean up. I think the 3rd pass of the evening was a new body style Mustang going throught the traps at a 4.xx @ 150 on it's roof |

Great meet! I was just happy to know my truck would make the drive. Lots of nice rides. I got rid of a bunch of stuff I was wanting out of the way and came home with another bunch. I was kinda under the weather but still had fun. Should try another in the fall maybe? The party gift was cool too!

Taken from 1st thread
Just got home from there about 45 mins. ago. I am glad that I was able to meet all of you. The drive was only 6 1/2 hours to get there. Next time Dallas71 needs to not "scare" most of us the next time he shows up. Hope Krazy Texan gets some good use out of the doors. Was able to trade the cab I had with me for a pair of straight rust free 70 doors and some other things that I was looking for. So I was glad to be able to keep my promise to my wife that I would not spend too much and come back with alot less on my trailer.
Keep me in mind for the next one. Keep my key chains handy until next time. I know just how you feel BtnkBndt about the bringing home a bunch of stuff.

Can someone post the pic's taken with the owners standing in front of their rides? I am still trying to figure who is who.
Inspector722, thanks for the key chain. If the server would let me, I'd give you some reputation points. Since it wont, a thank you will have to do. The seat belts worked great. I put them in this afternoon. My old ones would squeez my guts too much, and I am a thin guy.

Re: Post Texas Board Meet
I was at this meet up on August of 2004.
Even got in one picture with the blue 71 The green truck was Tx_Firefighters with the 454 he got out of an old motorhome. A lot of these folk's are still active board members The white 67 was one of the cleanest ever really brings back some memory's

They even had a parts swap that was included I heard they were a big hit I think there are several pavilions that are for rent at Grapevine Lake ($350 to $400) that would be a great central location for a lot of folk's here in the DFW Area and If the interest was there.
