What is your winter project?

I will be painting under the truck. About 5 percent of the under side has a little surface rust. I need to fabricate steering stops for the lower control arms. Someone cut them off. I plan to install the rear C-notches without removing the bed. The biggest problem is the brake line is in the way. I will also check, and repair the rear brakes if needed.

Re: What is your winter project?

With any luck, I will get my truck out of paint. Then I can do my summer build project over the winter.

Re: What is your winter project?

Right now the 59 is getting the love. 1. Re-wire 2. New exhaust. 3. Bed wood. 4.brakes. 5. 62 impala steering wheel. Then 1. alcoas and rubber on the dually 2. Spindles and hangers on the dually. By this point i should be completely broke, so i will start tearing down the 78. In between ill finish spray-bombing the travelall and rebuild the carb. Hahaha. In my dreams.

Re: What is your winter project?

When I get the K10 back soon I plan on doing some wiring fixes, and getting the engine pulled and replacing the rings and throwing on a set of 305 heads I have laying around

Re: What is your winter project?

Tearing it down, need to pull master cylinder and wiper motor before the cab is ready to come off.

Re: What is your winter project?

I hope to get the body off the 85 and put on some homemade roller stands. Then, pull the body off my 83 and put it back on the 85 frame (after cleaning and a quick paint). This one I want to get going again soon, so I will have a operational truck for "stuff". The 85 Ext. cab will be getting a full rebuild and made pretty from the frame up David

Checked the brakes. All are in great shape except for one rear brake cylinder that has a leak. I will replace it with a good one. not a cheap Auto Zone one.
