My 57 Project
New to the forum, so hello to all. This place is invaluable, but been keeping me up at night looking at every single thread. Bought a 57 from a friend that is a mechanical whiz. He has handled all the things i could never begin to do. Just got my first order(s) in today from brothers and summit. Cannot wait to get started.
Posting the only picture i have right now. Just wanted to say thanks for all the great ideas and lessons others have already learned. |

 what are your plans? that was originally a canadian truck, as i have learned on this forum canadian trucks had the fender mounted spare on the pass side usa trucks had the spare on the drivers side canadian tf series is 1300, usa tf series is 3100 or at least the rear fender and spare mount is canadian

New column in with tilt and new dash panel to fix old hole in place. Drop shackles in the rear. Waiting on gas tank to move to rear and out of cab and led lights from street rod hq.

Nice little '57. What's it have drivetrain wise?
Also, you mentioned you ordered parts from brothers, I have dumped thousands into parts catalogs and have found that www.ClassicParts.com usually is 10%+ cheaper. for me though, Brothers is in Cali so the sales tax alone kills it, but its worth looking into for future purchases... The smoothie steel wheels with the spare looks great! |

looks like the wiring harness will happen over the course of the next week. I'll let you guys know how I like the EZWIRE harness.
They must have made some changes since the early ones. All the negatives i read are not there. They are seemingly good harnesses, sound, tight, color coded and actually have very good directions. I'll be adding on new tails and heads as well. |

fatmat installed. tilt steering column in. New dash cluster in, wiring almost complete. The EZwire kit was just fine to me. However their instructions were not great. In addition, i'll be glad to answer questions for those that decide to install LED lights. That was a bit of a head scratcher for a while. |

Found a great deal on a complete bed without spare tire cutout on fender. The wife loves it as is and I want to streamline without the spare. Thoughts?
