Tri Power a '77 Chevy 454

I'm currently working on my mutt of a 1969 K10 running a 1977 454. In the carb category, I have the quadrajet it came with that could use a good rebuilding and on the other hand a GM header and holley tri-power carb off of a '69 Corvette 427.

Anyone here have experience running a tri-power on a big block? Thoughts on tri-power vs q-jet? Given the truck is a mutt I could care less about numbers matching, stock, etc.
