Re: 72 LWB - Bed- wood floor, toolbox in Texas

Very interested! First in line!! Does the door have the lock cylinder with retainer? Does it also have the door opening check strap and brackets? Could you post pics of these items, as well as the condition of the door (rust repair). Is the bed wood complete with all straps? Is the auxiliary fuel tank still serviceable? Thanks, Dan

Re: 72 LWB - Bed- wood floor, toolbox in Texas

The truck was running a couple months ago, tank should be fine. I think the bed floor is all there and solid. I sold a parts truck to a customer that has bought about 30 trucks from me and he is supposed to bring the toolbox door back next week. I forgot to take it off before he came and picked it up. It is all there. I will ask my friend what all he took off of the box. I think he stripped the door. I think the lock and key is there in a box. I have the 3 pieces of chrome that i will sell separate. I MIGHT be able to find a neck and cover for tank, but will be extra.
Give me a little time on all of this because i am still working on roofs and buildings. If you noticed the roof on the barn is half gone and the 14X24 building is down to the floor, with blue tarp on it. It has been 2 months and i am sick of it already.

Re: 72 LWB - Bed- wood floor, toolbox in Texas

I understand your priority must be with your buildings! I will have some other questions as we go along. Is there any rust on the bedside around the tool compartment door? I assume the two moldings that are on the bed, go with the bed? The auxiliary tank would have a neck, a seal and a cap? I don't believe this type had a door. Please feel free to call my cell 706-332-2233. Thanks, Dan

SOLD to an American!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for being able to get all the pieces for the tool box door to make it whole, especially the lock cylinder w/key and retainer. I will be in touch for picking up the bed by year end. Thanks again.
