Needing help putting a value on my V30 CC

I am contemplating selling my 88' V30 C+C dually. It is basically stock with its factory TBI 454/th400/205 combo. The transmission is slipping and will need overhauled. It is still drivable and cruises the highway fine. The body has no rust. The body has dings and scratches but overall still draws attention. The tires are all 70%. The interior is blue and the seat are not torn. All the PW/PL work.

What would be a realistic price to put on this truck if selling as is? And also what it's worth with all the parts I have for it?

I also have almost every major component purchased to do a complete NV4500 swap correctly including aa 94 model NV4500 with very lowmiles, a manual tilt column and pedal assembly to fit this truck. I also have a complete gray interior kit I removed from a suburban including trim pieces, door panels, dash, front bucket seats with console and seatbelts. I was going to swap everything to gray interior when I swapped the transmission in.

I absolutely love this truck. Not many unmolested trucks still out there. Especially with no rust. The only reason I am thinking about selling is because my priorities have changed at the moment. I will try and post a picture

$2000 as is if the trans needs to be done. I sold mine with a built 454, new 35" tires & rust/dent free for $4500 I think it was. Not many around but due to their size & poor gas mileage they have a small market. I still miss mine though, the truck was a beast & hauled ass.

With a slipping trans the price can very a lot,If you want top dollar get the trans rebuilt or swap in that stick you wanted.

Re: Needing help putting a value on my V30 CC

I paid $17k for my '90, but it was already swapped to a short box, and restored with new paint. It had 98k miles on it IIRC. About a year later I put @ another $5k into it swapping in an 8.1/4l80e.....And just in the last few months I have redone the interior with burb buckets and all new upholstery to the tune of @ $1800 or so. So, it can depend if someone is looking for one to be a DD/tow rig, or just a toy. Either way, that's a lot of truck for the $, no matter what price you put to it, compared to a new truck. I wouldn't let the tranny detract from your valuation of it too much...A TH400 is just a couple days work and an $80 rebuild kit away from being good for many more years.

BTW, PM me with your price when you decide on one....Im looking for another clean one for a diesel build.

Re: Needing help putting a value on my V30 CC

I'd say $3-4k easily with a good trans.

Re: Needing help putting a value on my V30 CC

Dang if you'll take 2-4k, I'll leave in the morning & come get it!!!
I'd say about around $5k for truck on the lower side, maybe as much as $10k as it sits.
Not easy to find a square, 4wd ton truck; especially with a 454.
I agree with wildwilly about trans not really being a major factor, especially if still drives & only slipping.
Add $1500 for the extra parts.

I agree on the 3-4k range as is without the extra parts. Unfortunately its a loaded question. Everyone has their opinions and when you do see a crew comparable to this for an outrageous price.... it never sells and eventually they come down to reality. Seen it a hundred times.
It also depends on the region i think. If I could ship a truck for a decent amount from the upper west coast i would have had a dozen of them trucks in my possession. They are just plentiful up there.

Just my .02

Wow..... Clean CC squares are not exactly sitting on every corner around my area. Worn CC's..... 2-4K. Clean one's? Definitely higher & a 2wd vs 4wd bringing more 'value' would depend on the buyer.

Pretty much lol Here's a 2wd one that's been for sale for a year or more now and no bites. They started at $10g I believe, now $8500 but realistically it'll sell for $5000 maybe around here. So $8500CAD is $6100 USD asking, sell will likely be $3700-4000USD tops. I can't imagine anybody actually paying $10g for one of these unless it's been fully restored and has a cummins motor in it. Even then the last one I saw like that only sold for $5g or so out here.

Re: Needing help putting a value on my V30 CC

With a rebuilt trans, quite a bit of money. Big block auto crew cab 4x4 with factory EFI? That is one tough rugged powerhouse of a pickup. Not very common.
