v6 to v8 engine swap

hi guys im currently doing an engine swap on my 85 c10 which came with a v6 when i bought it. so i pulled my engine out the other day and was getting ready to put in my 350 and i measured the frame pad mounts and they needed to be slid up 4 inches. i was wondering if anyone has already done this or had this problem

Re: v6 to v8 engine swap

IIRC there are proper holes already drilled in the frame for this conversion

Re: v6 to v8 engine swap

Hey did this exact swap on my 85 when I got it. You have to use the v8 mounts and the brackets for the mounts that are on the frame. I had to go to the salvage yard and pull some for a v8. I was told that they were all the same just in different spots, but they arent. I had to drill at least one hole on each side to bolt the brackets down also.
