Talking C-10 National's

Anybody here going? We have a group of our local chapter club going up. Been the last several years it's a good show and they have a pretty good swap meet also.
I'll be taking the 71 C 10 again this year. Hopefully next year my daughter's truck will join in also.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: C-10 National's

I'd go but all I have are a '72 K2500 and a '67 C1500 . No, that's a great place. I wish I could make it. I have a list a mile long this year of shows I didn't go to. It's the year of skipped events. Very minimal

It's OK there is always a bunch of truck stuff and signs and such. It's not like Charlotte though!

I just wondering where all the guy's from last year are? Everybody was saying they needed to change dates so they did. Now nobody has even replied back that they are going.

Re: C-10 National's

First I'm hearing of it. Unfortunately I have plans to be at Lebanon race track . Don't know if the Chevelle will be ready for the nostalgia drags that start Friday night and run all weekend. If not I'll just do the show.

But your show in October I might be able to attend.

Re: C-10 National's

It was a nice show, a good turn out. The swap meet part wasn't all that, there were some asking a bit much for stuff that wasn't worth it.

Yes most of them are small vendors and only hit local shows so they want top dollar for everything. I was looking at wheels for my daughters truck. %on 5 truck ralley's. I vendor had brand new ones ready to go for $80.00 each. Powder coated and ready for painting your color.

The old wheels that all the vendors had wanting $200.00 for them. Those where the cheapest ones I found. After that spending another $125.00 to have blasted I'm going with the new ones. I'll be at the same price with no time in them.

Hey Andy, I wanted to give a big thanks to you and your daughter for the shade and companionship during the show. It was great to catch up and nice to see someone I hadn't in a while.

Re: C-10 National's

No burnout contest? I don't think the Mid-West All Truck Nationals had a burnout contest this year...I couldn't go this year or last year...Andy's license plate's fault... Building a new BBC 439 for "Nasty Sally" and "Belle" has #8 oil fouling issues. Both trucks will be getting new motors. I picked up a GM Performance 260HP 350 five years ago for $1200 delivered. After assembling this big block, those small block parts like the springs and pushrods sure look small. I blew up the 1969 L34 SS/396 but salvaged the crank, closed chamber heads (290's) and the Weiand high rise & a Cliff Ruggles Quadrajet. Heres a video of Sally winning the first place burnout trophy two years ago... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jXx...FwXZgV5iVEXyeB She'll be back this spring...A .060" over first gen 454 with the 3.760 stroke 396 cam with new JE Forged domes. A Clay White BBC solid lifter cam. 13.5:1 110 octane motor, should live a long time if I keep the rpm at 7K or lower...I take good tires off and throw on some saved BFG 60's. Next year I'll have a pair of these to dazzle the crowd. https://highway-max-coloured-smoke-u...date-june-2017
