GM Part #03985056 Inner Grille New in box (correct for 69-many use in 70 models ) $150 shipped (NOW 130)

I also have an inner grille taken off a 1970 C10. This is the correct 1970 grille with the raised silver bands with black background. Grille is in very good condition. One center support is cracked and some of the silver has started to wear but the silver can be touched up and the crack can be easily fixed as it was a clean break. Crack is behind outer grille and will not be seen once installed. These grilles are not being reproduced at this time so if you want a true 70....here it is. $150 Shipped (Now 130)

I will give these a week here and then I will put them on ebay and get around 800 for the outer grille and 250 for the 69 and 70 inners....lol...

You'll notice the top picture with the grille in it...note above it the repop center grille...they packed it nicely and I will be using that packaging when I ship the true GM grille shell.

Also notice the extreme closeup of the E in Chevrolet. I purchased one of these grilles in the past off ebay for lots of money only to find out that it was poorly made with weak stamping and the black paint was all over the place. This gate has very crisp stamps and the black paint looks perfect. Only way you can tell this isn't NOS is the two horizontal lines don't extend to the end of the grille.....that and it's a lot shinier

I am pretty sure you can get an epoxy or super glue made for plastics. I have seen several eggcrate style grilles repaired nicely. Just let me know...you can come down any time to look at it. If it doesn't sell here, I was going to fix it and then fix the missing silver and put it on ebay. If you want them, I'll make a package deal for the shell and inner and of course it will already be less w/out shipping.

Genuine GM, in the box, not installed= NOS in my book.
On a side note, i have the same grill NOS with a date of 1976 on the box and it too has the short lines.

I Kind of agree...I guess I'm not understanding....I thought the repops were only the unlettered versions....and these stickers do not say "GM restoration" or anything to do with "GM Licensing".....they say "Genuine GM" .....whats the scoop?....If GM is not making them then who's is? and where at?

I say it may not be NOS as its not really old....but it is genuine GM!

I think it would be considered NOS. You can still get these from the Chevy dealer so they aren't like a NOS tailgate or door, but still NOS.

From what I have read, if you cn find a dealer that has one, they run around 800 plus tax. Mine is cheaper and tax free too

since someone ask how to repair the plastic grille. 3M makes a bumper repair kit with a two part type epoxy for newer plastic bumpers. It is what repair shops use if a bumper can be salvaged. Or you can get a can of Methylkeytone. It is a paint thinner substance that modelers use to fuse plastic together. Just put a bunch in the crack and hold it together for a minute or two, then tape it tight, and it should be fixed. Un-do the tape and put a little bit around the outside of the crack. Let it dry and sand/scuff it up and repaint.
