What did you get done this weekend?

It's that time of the week again.

I didn't get to touch the truck as I'm studying for promotion. I read about 2200 pages though.

Test is in 8 days, then it's 100 percent full bore work on the dually. It will drive soon.

How about you?

Re-did the front left brake...the right rear brake.. (need parts to finish the job...they sent me the wrong stuff...again)
Mounted my class III hitch underneath.
Remounted the buckets for more tilting back. (placed washers under the front bolts)
Installed new speedo and fuel guages with the white overlays.
Installed relays on the headlights...almost done on that one.
Chainged the oil.
installed beauty rings.

Had to work Friday night, and then again Saturday morning, ugh.

Just bought a plow blade for our Cub Cadet and got the mower deck off and the blade on, but then the starter went right before the big storm. Luckily the old Craftsman snowthrower started up on the first pull.

Ton of hw (first 200 pages of the House of Mirth, 6 pages of German mini-essays, and a couple one page papers for other classes).

I also went to a killer party last night. every 5 minutes a hot chick with a case of beer would walk in the front door. I originally wasnt going to stay but we got about 8 inches of snow and my Buick was stuck, so I made the most of it

Unfortunately nothing truck related, however.

fixed my truck, turns out that 34 year old rear leafs dont like stump pulling first gear much, i was goofin around and layed a little patch and broke 2 leafs in half which led to my rear end getting cocked eyed, snapped 1 u bolt, loosing my overload springs on the highway then shattering 2 univerals on the rear driveshaft. next morning went to dennys for a big breakfast then went hard at the truck, locaded a rear leaf at the wreckers, got 4 new shorter u bolts, put the new leaf in the busted up side, with new bolts then torched the 2 ubolts off the good side, pulled out the over loads and put the new shorter bolts back in and now im good to go

I spent an hour on Saturday putting a new belt on the snowblower so I could clean the drives and by the mailbox. Spent about three hours at that and then today I signed on to this board and spent an hour trying to post pics of my truck. Also watched the Patriots kick butt. Brrr it's cold outside.

pulled the head off my 85 blazer got a burned exhaust valve. 20 years and she'd never been opened up. as far as my 68 Im making a cab turner to make it easier on the old man and my backs and my damn knee I figured between my two trucks and the old mans 55 it will pay for itself that and practice welding.

Not much, put a hand sized hole in my already worn out dash pad that cracks when you look at it, pulled my a/c/heater controlls out to clean it, removed ash tray and its rack for restoing, removed nasty old scratchy bench seat cover, loosened 1/2 the bolts for the seat, lost socket underneath truck, counldnt find it, oh well, wasted 3 cans of oven cleaner on the engine compartment (very greasy, caked with filth) took the paint off, everything basically down to bare metal, threw on some primer, now im typing at my computer.

Friday I was grinding/cutting on the old original step bumper, getting ready to weld on new diamond plate steel and make it look new again. Saturday and today I was sitting on my arse or on the computer.

Finally got the motor running in my plow truck This is going to be "the beast". 465/205 and welded 14bolt FF rear. Havent got it rolling yet It took some doing to get the auto cab pedal assembly out and the clutch linkage installed to work with the standard drivetrain. Not going to show you any pics of the cab floor cause it aint pretty. Still had to use the Deere to plow out from the storm. It is kinda nice to be able to put 40 yds of snow in one nice little pile though don't know how much plowing the truck is really going to see. Will post pics of the stump pulling and boulder hauling in the spring though I promise. Me and the little guy made a nice igloo out of the snow pile. Oh yeah and watched the Pats Bend the Steelers over of course.

Took my old tires off, sanded and repainted my rallys, and reinstalled them on BFG's, all on one of those manual tire mount stands, what a pain in the butt, will be going to a tire shop next time. Oh well, had to give it a try.
