Re: Its home!!!

Thanks guys. The plans for right now is to drive it. Fade to black is down for the count. So while I am rebuilding the 69 fleet in the garage...I will have to drive Old Blue as my brother calls this one. This one needs a few things done...but is drivable now. I have noticed that someone heated the springs and tried to make it into a low rider. I will put the stock springs back into place again.

My brother surprised the hell out of me when he said come get the truck. I had to ask what he wanted for it. He said...I said come get it! He has put about 3000.00 into it. New brakes, exhaust, Tail lights, alot of new parts that was in boxes he put into the back of the 69 and the borrowed 06 GMC I was driving. 450 mile round trip. 100.00 in gas...100.00 for the one way trip on the tow dolly...he bought lunch! Worth every bit of it. I got to hang out with my oldest brother for a few hours. It was cool.

Its got a couple of spots...I will get them fixed by winter. My brother had it for the last 10 years. Stayed in the garage for a long time. Then his boat kinda took over..and then he didnt want his truck anymore.

Re: Its home!!!

In a way I was hoping he was going to keep his truck. I thought it was cool we both had 69 project trucks.

Re: Its home!!!

I also decided to take the steelies off and dog dish caps. I put on a set of rallys off a 4X4. Anyone know what year of truck the caps came off?

He got married about 15 years ago. Hes 55 and his wife is too. So no kids. There was no room in the driveway no more for anything and the garage has the boat in it and lots of shelves for god only knows what. He has a new Lincoln welder he has had for about 5 years and has never touched it. Yeah I tried to talk him out of it...didnt work. Unless it has something to do with fishing...he seems to have no interest in it now. He for sure wasnt going to get rid of the boat. I think...he has about 80,000.00 in boats and fishing equipment. And thats not stretching it. He has three other boats in storage...I know have been there at least 10 years now.
