Who is 20 or under here...
i just recently turned 20 and in my town not very many people my age are into cars and trucks as much as i am. I try to do all of my own work if i can and i even painted my camaro myself when i was 18 my senior year in school and i get complements on it all of the time. So i am just wandering how many of you are 20 years old or less and are into cars and trucks as much as i am.

Re: Who is 20 or under here...
If we had more of you guys, out working on your trucks or cars,we would not have the crime, teen pregnancies and other problems that we face as a nation.I have never seen a guy spend half a day, rebuilding a motor, then go out and rob the local liquor store. He would be way to tired, and hungry, plus look at what all needs to be done,in order to hear the motor run for the first time.

Re: Who is 20 or under here...
If i could ride my girlfriend as much as i ride my quad and truck it would be a tuff choice. Just kidding. Stick with the restorations they are a lot cheaper in the long run. Im 23 but dont act that old most of the time.

Re: Who is 20 or under here...
just turned 20, and i've been messing with these trucks for about 4 years now. i've gone through a '68 C20, a '67 C10, a '69 K20, and finally found a '69 C1500 that is usable and will find it's way on the road.
theres quite a few guys my age who are really into cars and trucks. luckily, i'm friends with alot of them. i also lucked out in the fact that my dad has been a mechanic for..well...all of his grown up life. haha. so he's really helped, along with inspiring me. anyway. back to the garage! -Sam.

Re: Who is 20 or under here...
I'm 33, but the wife says I drive like a typical 16 year old boy and act like I am younger than my daughter. My daughter is 4. I like to think those are compliments. After 16 years of being together and married for 11, I must still turn her on.

Re: Who is 20 or under here...
Im 33 but My 13 year old insists on inherating the 67 1/2 ton when she goes to high school. I guess something about helping old dad work on a truck raises a young ones interest.

My girlfriend accuses me of acting like a teenager, but I don't think that counts.

Re: Who is 20 or under here...
I'm 16 and my dad and I fixed up my '69 C/20 together. We did all the work ourselves, including paint, and I'm so proud of it. I drive it to school 2 or 3 times a week(mom makes me ride the bus some because of the 10 mpg my truck gets). I've got a '64 in the barn that I'm fixin to start on again, it got set aside when we brought the '69 home.

Me (times 3) 'til next March. I was 20 when my truck was new..........
You're only as old as you act & feel. And sometimes I still feel like the dumb kid I use to be, just trying not to act like it. Maybe us old f*rts need to start an "if I could do it over" thread........... Last edited by 68shortstep; 10-19-2007 at 06:20 PM. Reason: Added a line |
