Re: 1972 4x4 skid plate (transmission)

I have one of them there thingy's, with the extra member also, but mine
was sandblasted and powdercoated black so it ain't worth very much

On a side note, if that is $125 for both pieces that is a pretty good deal.

Re: 1972 4x4 skid plate (transmission)

Are you saying you have the skid plate and the 2nd crossmember that connects the skid plate to the crossmember that holds the transfer case. If so, do you have the upper brackets for the 2nd crossmember to upper frame rail? Please post some pics of those peices or send to dpkratz@bellsouth.net.

Thanks, Dan

Re: 1972 4x4 skid plate (transmission)

Maybe they didnt have upper brackets, mine just came with some, dont know thats what they are for.You really dont need them, its just a piece of steel its holding up,not like the tranny/t case the t case crossmember has to hold up.The crossmember its self looks similar to my extra 205 cross member I have laying around that I compared it too. So,maybe the t case crossmember was dual purposed....

Re: 1972 4x4 skid plate (transmission)

I'll take the skid plate and crossmember set-up for the $150. Are you going to the Charlotte Auto Fair? What are your space #'s. PM me with payment info!. It will be Charlotte delivery, hate the 400 mile ride, or Sunday the 15th to pick-up. Thanks, Dan 706-332-2233
