Post J- body Q

I cant find any damn sites for J body, IE Sunbirds, Sunfires, Cavaliers, etc, but I need ot find out asap if a 2.0L in an 89 Sunbird can be replaced with a 2.2L or not, anyone here a dealer mechanic or know one or a place where to find out for sure ? I assume both engines have same bellhousing pattern and that Pontiac used same pattern on the FWD cars such as these no matter what make of car. At least I hope.

any ideas ?

http://www.j-body.org and post being move to general discussion. The 2.2 if you use the wiring and computer for the 2.2 should work but I'm not 100% sure on that, I know you can fit a 3800 in a first gen cav.
