Whats the Value of this truck

A 1968 GMC 3/4ton 4speed 4x4 v6 supposed to have only 30k miles due to being used as a farm truck. Very little rust. missing front bumper and could use tires. Was repainted a few years back. No mods are done to the truck. Looks just like you would think a 68 model farm truck with 30k should.

I thinking of buying this truck for use when building my house. What are these trucks selling for?

Clean truck!

Fairly rare too.....if it really is as clean as the pics show, and runs good, i would say 3k plus....just a guestimate though. I see you want to use it to build you house....just please don't turn it into a work truck and destroy it! Nothing wrong with a load of lumber in the back, just don't bang it up too bad

I would say $4000 or more. Super low miles but remember that the v6 didnt get any mileage. But, a 350 isnt a economy king either. It looks like a really good find. I really like the cab lights and the mirrors! Go for it! If the inside is as clean as the outside, It will be worth a mint!

nice truck! i'd say $3200 is a steal for what it looks and sounds like. The V6 might be a little harder to get parts for, but with 30k it should be in good shape. Good luck!

It does look good, but it is 35 years old and wouldn't be surprised if it had 130,000 miles on it.

Try getting it for $2500...but it's easily worth $3k or more...even up here in washington.

If the guy can't truly document the mileage you can bet i't's 130...if not 230

I bought one just like that except a stepside last year. It came from a farm in Amarillo, a little spot of rust in one rocker. I paid $2800 and have not been sorry (Ebay auction). I am using it every week to haul stuff for my new garage addition. I really like the 305V6, but those 4:56 gears make for a slow top speed and low gas mileage. Let me know if you have any questions.

Looks like a great truck. I'd pay $3,200 for it whether it had 30k or 130k on it.

My only concern now is the VIN KM20D74718

K= 4x4
M= ?
2= 3/4ton

There shouldn't a M or D in the VIN?...

I'm using the VIN decoder on this site. I assume GMC trucks would use the same vin system as Chevy.

The engine number is 305E506207

Jose is correct. In addition GMC's don't decode in the same manner. Someone here can post a translation for you, probaby that new longhorn guy.

I've seen documented farm trucks ten years older than that with fewer miles. The 30K is easily possible.

I agree that it would be a nice truck to own, but it most likely has 130,000. 30K in 30+ years is less than 1000 miles a year, or about 80 miles a month
