that's actually just the pic from the tuffy website.
makes it look pretty slick...they don't look quite that nice in "real life".
they're a bit industrial looking with powder-coated metal but a nice vinyl top.
the security locking feature is pretty cool though especially when top is off.

Here is a "real life" pic of mine installed in the K/5. I like the tuffy alot, it is a very functional unit with a place to securely mount some modern tunes without modifying your dash and it also doubles as a useable and comfortable arm rest for those long cruises. Cb

I think there are a few different models available, the cup holder was a add on option for this one. Cb

I'd like to see pics of your whole truck, it looks really clean.

Re: Tuffy Center Console

I had planned to get a Tuffy when I had my '69, but I bought the 72 instead. I have heard that mounting CD head units vertical like that kills the eject motors and the spinning motors fairly quickly.

In my 72, I bought a changer to mount inside the factory console along with the head unit. I've used the CD player in the head unit a few times without any problems, but mostly I use the changer. I wish I had gotten and iPod jack.

Re: Tuffy Center Console

I love that Console. A couple questions, where did you get it and is it pretty secure? Granted that a thief can get into pretty much anything, I'm looking to ward off the casual thief. Is it made out of some thick material?
