It might fit better than a 250 HB on a 292. The 292 harmonic balancer has 2 or 3 grooves for fanbelts. It is heavier than the 250 HB. The larger mass makes for smoother operation. 292 cranks are tapped on the front end for a securing bolt and have a 1.255" O.D. snout diameter, same as an SBC. Most 250s aren't tapped on the crank snout end.
The OEM p/n for the 292 damper is 10141202 for the 3-sheave with a hot-bonded outer ring.

Every 25 years I like to rebuild that 292, whether it needs it or not.
