700R4's and my old truck

OK this has prolly been hashed out a million times already.I have a SM465 in my truck ATM,and I am thinking about going with a 700R4 I have. Will the crossmember, and linkage work from a 350TH,or will I have to make up some stuff? What about the driveshaft?
Is there a one piece out of something that will drop right in?WHat works here?

Also how do I wire up the overdrive,or whatever.

I have all the stuff from a donor truck that had an automatic in it,so that is no problem. Also I have the Burb the 700 is in,both in tact. What will I need to do to make htis work out.

Thanks

I did this swap in a Nova I used to owe. All I did was move the trans cross member back 2" so the 700 would drop right in. Oh and I had the drive shaft shortened also. Just make sure your motor is setting level after the swap. Put a level on the carb and level it.

the overdrive is easy, I prefer the kit from TCI (P/N 376600), it only takes a few minutes to install, converts lockup to vaccum activation, and allows you to add switches to lock the tranny in any gear, or prevent lockup for towing purposes.

it costs around $75.

Here's a web site I posted a while back that covers a lot of 700r4 stuff:

You might want to check out the "How To Setup Your Driveline" section at the bottom also.

a couple other companies like painless and bowtie overdrives makes the kit, but the TCI is my favorite.

If you have any questions, shoot me a pm.
