92 350 Heads
92 Chevy 350 heads...194 intake and 160 exhaust.....will an old style intake bolt to these heads? There not vortec, so I'm guessing my "normal" Wiend intake will bolt to these???
I dont have the heads yet, or I'd just look at the bolt holes. Thanks....

When GM went to fuel injection they changed the angle of the 4 center (2 each side) bolts.On some intakes you can file them out and make it work.Better check those heads.I heard they're bad about cracking and I've never heard of any performance gains between them and older 350 heads.

Actually, the fuel injection started back in the early 80's. Here are some I.D. things too look at to figure the years.
I have a looong list that starts with the '55 265 Cubic Inch. Cross Fire Injection started in '81. TPI started in '85. Center bolt valve covers and a one pce rear main seal came in '86. Roller cam provisions and new angle intake holes started in '87.So, no, your old school intake is not a direct bolt on. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 08-22-2002 at 08:23 PM. |

It'll fit. Just elongate the 4 center bolt holes.
