my beater project

so i have ahd this 70 gmc for a about 10 months now. have been slowly doing little things. i recently lowerd it ont he weekend, think it will come down some more though. it will get a quick body and paint job in the next couple weeks as i find time. it is not my DD so it can sit for a while. it had all the trim when i got it, took that off and added some peep mirrors, then lowerd it. i also have some new steel wheels with beuty rings that will get a bold paint job to contrast with the satin black the truck will be.
i did the drop the cheap way, cut the front and rear coils, just made new mounts fro the rear and eveything is good. rides nice. before people go off on cutting springs, i have done this many times before with good results.
first got it........

next.............

and yesterday.......

and the motor.........
307, big lumpy cam, intake, header, 4brl, electronic ignition, double roller timing chain, new clutch, 3spd stick on the floor........

it needs a rollpan before paint and body, and it will just be my parts hauler and beater truck while i build my 50 dodge, 72 celica,74 corolla. plenty on my plate right now, i also train for triathlons.
