Re: back window.

To get the glass out work from the inside. Use a screw driver or something similar to pry the weather strip up. You will be able to see the flange it is seated on. Get it up high enough to clear that lip so that it tucks behind it. Then just work your way around. Start at the top and work all the way across the top and most of the way down each side. This will still leave enough holding the glass so it doesn't fall out. Then you can go to the outside and you should be able to wiggle it free. If you have someone to catch the glass then just work it all from the inside.

Re: back window.

to get the old glass out, I just cut the lip of the gasket off with a utility knife...takes like one minute, and you're done.

Re: back window.

funny, I just did the reverse a couple days ago...did it by myself but 2 are better. Start by putting a wire or string in the inside part of the seal, sink it to the bottom, set the gass in the seal, set the assembly in the bottom of the window opening being careful to get as much of the metal up in the seal where it belongs, while partner holds the window in place on the outside, you on the inside start pulling the string out and it will pull the seal over the edge of the opening. To get the window out, make sure the center lock ring(rubber)is out, push out on the corner and believe me, it will push out...work your way around while the friend keeps it from crashing to the ground!

Re: back window.

Cant add much more about the taking out, and installation... great advice already.. BUT... much much easier to have it tinted with the window out.... just let it dry good before you put it on the truck....

Re: back window.

Just cut the seal if you're replacing it. Keep a spray bottle of soapy water handy while doing the reinstall.
