Project 74, Shorty
Well here is my build, my project is a 74 Chevy c10 that I bought about 6 years ago and painted it about 3 years ago, I drove it now and then but it's been in my garage most of the time, I decided to rebuild it after getting hit on the freeway by a ladder someone dropped, I'm in the process of a complete rebuild, my plan is to bag it, not planing on a frame dragger, just a nice look, here are some pics of the build let me know what you think .... the first thing I did was to paint the inside and do the interior, this pictures are of my truck before my rebuild.

Re: Project 74, Shorty
So this is where I'm at currently with my build, I've powder coated the frame and painted all the rest of the components. I've decided to cancel the Ac and Heater, check it out.

Re: Project 74, Shorty
Here's my firewall, so I decided to cancel my AC and heater. I'm still undecided if I should re locate the wire harness, anyone have any idea's for the relocation and re route the wires?

Looks great... love the color!
Wheels are perfect for it. I'd want it down a little more in the front but that's just me... I've always like cars/trucks on a rake. Of course with bags, it's just moving a switch. |

Re: Project 74, Shorty
Looks good man I like how you color coordinated thr engine block and the suspension parts with the body. Did you do all the bag work yourself? Hey I noticed that on the windshield your missing something....a C/10 Club sticker

Re: Project 74, Shorty
Very nice. Even though I am into 67-72 I have always liked the square bodies. I have owned quite a few built them then passed them on. I currently own one now which I let my son use as a daily driver while he builds his 68. Keep up the good work.

Re: Project 74, Shorty
Welcome to the forum jessfloho. It looks like your going to have a killer square when you get done (again). The extra time spent on the build will really make a difference in the end. Keep us posted on your progress...

Looks pretty sharp (or looked....before the ladder-from-nowhere)
Had a '79 in highschool that was 2-ton red-silver-red. Wish I still had it. Keep posting the progress.

Re: Project 74, Shorty
Thats an awsome looking truck. It must have been one heck of a ladder damage for you to tear down and rebuild that masterpiece.
Are you going back with the same color? Also welcome to the board. |

Re: Project 74, Shorty
Thank you, actually ladder just gave me an excuses to do a compete rebuild, the plan is to two tone it, I'm going with a slightly lighter color on the bottom and the same on top.
