Need your help...what to you think a good price for this would be?
I found a 67' long bed small window and the guy sent me all these pics. I asked to shoot the problem areas. If I buy it I will be shortening the frame...and this just maybe a good way to get a small window 67' for a good price?
What your number?

Maybe you can play on the dented bedside and door along with the rockers and offer anywhere between $500-750?

Re: Need your help...what to you think a good price for this would be?
Does it run? What engine if it does? What tranny? Play on all the things you don't want but don't make him mad at you in the processe of doing so.
How far are you from him looks like the same state at least. Also underside is a big question cab supports and floors can't be seen in these pic's other than that it does not look like a bad project to tackel. Just depends on where you want to start. I say more info is needed to produce a good estimate on price. I say 500 to 700 also with what we see, maybe more depending on other things stated above. Hope it all works out for the best RJ22

Re: Need your help...what to you think a good price for this would be?
He's asking $900.00 Here is a link to the Craigslist add. Yes it is nice that the truck is about 10 miles from my house! So you guys think the rust is all repairable? Pilars look ok? Kick panels? I don't mind doing some welding. And in order to get a short bed truck I'll be paying $2800.00 or more

Re: Need your help...what to you think a good price for this would be?
My truck was in a lot better shape rust wise and I drove it home for $600. I don't know what the average truck goes for over there, but I would expect a lot more for $900.
My "new" truck was $1200 and has nearly no rust at all and only a dented door.

Re: Need your help...what to you think a good price for this would be?
Hate to be a jerk but I'd walk! No better yet run!!! The doner truck that I bought and stripped (for $160.00) was way nicer then this. There is not a corner that rust is not present and just think when you get this home and start really poken around. IMHO

Re: Need your help...what to you think a good price for this would be?
Alex, although you know how I came about mine, I gave $1000 for it. I think I showed you the pics of when Dad and I found it. Just food for thought. I would start working on the guy to see what his absolute bottome dollar is. I have a motto I always use when dealing with real estate: He who throws out the first number always loses!
BTW, you know where to come when you need the frame shortened!

Re: Need your help...what to you think a good price for this would be?
I would double check inside the cab around the windshield. Check out all along the top (pull back the windshield gasket) and check the bottom corners where the dash meets the windshield. I have a feeling from the pictures showing these areas that there is more rust hidden.

Re: Need your help...what to you think a good price for this would be?
what i would do, since rust in body is so hard to repair (at least for me it is,) i'd go out and find a truck with a good body, weather it be a rolling chassis, or some mechanical problem, if you know how to do the work yourself (which it sounds like you do, you mentioned welding and stuff) it would be a better buy having a good body.

Re: Need your help...what to you think a good price for this would be?
Hey bro,
Did you win the lottery or something? Speaking from experince ever since I bought my 68 gmc 2500 it's been nickel and diming me to death! If you've heard anyone else say that phrase to you IT'S TRUE. Unless your a good mechanic, when a previous owner neglects their vehicle like mine did and this one your showing us it will enevitably begin to fall apart LITARALLY! The only consolation is the parts are extremely cheap compared to new vehicles. |

Geno, he is looking for another frame-off project, so I can guarantee that no detail will be left out.
