Re: track times?

That setup should get you past the 14's all together. But if you point is to go the fastest possible, then the GN is always going to be faster due to the weight. If you still have the turbo v6 in it though, I would never swap the engine on it.

Yeah, that's a good friend of mine's truck. He's been fixing the bugs lately but should be running by the end of the month. It's a MONSTER!!

Re: track times?

That setup will get you 13's easy.

With a relatively stock small block, 4.10 gears, and trackion...I was running 14.6 at 92.

I now have a 468 BB, 4.10's and cal-tracks...I am hoping for 12's

Re: track times?

I doubt my truck would break 14. I have another car if I want to go fast the truck is just for tire smoking LOL. Although I am pushing around 275to300 horse on the engine with my given setup.

Well damn this mile high air!! My old 85 w/zz4, 2500 stall, 410 posi rear, would pull 15.01 but I couldnt get it to dip into the 14's. I'm hoping to get my k5 into the low 13's after the head swap this summer

Re: track times?

I have only ran mine in a 1/8th and it was running 8.3's about all night. I hope with all the new work on the motor it will do a little better then that.

Re: track times?

4.10 is as low as I would go unless it is for strip only. Just my preference
