April 2011 Truck of The Month
Time for the long awaited special Truck of the Month (TOTM) contest:
Whateva! Yep, you guessed it. The theme for this month will be our less than perfect specimens; our beaters, our beasts, our rust-buckets, our TRUCKS. Now here are the rules or criteria for the vehicles To be an eligible Whateva
To Nominate: You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the year of the truck, and any other specs of the truck (interior details, engine/drive train specs) that you may want to provide. Nominees will run through March 25. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. I normally use 1 picture showing a good front-side view and 1 with a rear view of the vehicle in the voting threads. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all of the voting. The Poll will start to run on March 26 and will run until the morning of April 2. The official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of April 2. The announcement of the TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area. So, let us see Whateva ya got.

Re: April 2011 Truck of The Month
does mine count??
Open to all years and models of Trucks, Blazers, Suburbans, Tahoes, Yukons, and Jimmys. 67 c10 suburban The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Im am the current registered and insured owner It must be road worthy and currently legal (until the cops catch you) to be on the road. It is "road" worthy and street legal It must have an unmatching paint scheme (no all primers) Its green with a white top, and the green is not primer lol It must have at least three other definite viewable imperfections. This includes things like missing panels, dents, holes (large and small), dominate rust formations (not patina) or whatever might make someone afraid to go near it for fear of catching some sort of disease. its got plenty of rust(some all the way through, can take better pics if needed), missing bumper (rear), missing mirrors, no passenger side front rocker panel, no rear floor, faded blotchy tiger striped rattle can paint job, sheet metal riveted over the door handle spot, and plenty of dents. oh! and some holes If a truck was selected as a 2009 TOTM winner then you are ineligible. If you were nominated but were not selected as a TOTM winner then you may be nominated and compete in this month's category. I never one a TOTM ever also if anyone wants to see more pics look in my build thread, link below in sig...or i can post them edit: this would be a sweet b-day present to win for the 27th, hint hint lol. Re: April 2011 Truck of The Month
Well I guess I'll throw in my 74. Shes street legal and sometimes I drive her to work. You have to find a nice flat place to park or else it will roll away. Oh yeah and its an automatic Its got the classic hood kink which I think really just gives better airflow for the powerhouse 350. You can't see it in this picture but the rust hole in the other side of the bed put a pretty nice gash in my friend's hand and its got rust through in every other panel except the drivers side bed is mint. And the same kid likes my rust holes in the floor because he doesn't have to role the window down to spit or throw his beer cans out Just kiddin. This is the only category that I think this rig fits in.

Re: April 2011 Truck of The Month
What the heck? I'll throw mine in to the fray. 63 C-20 originally 283 and 3 on the tree now 350 with a 4 spd muncie. PO hacked the original high hump and patched it with a piece of scrap metal and self taping screws. Rearview and right mirror are gone and left one is missing the glass. (cops don't know about that though) both front fenders are rusted through, bed dented in, bondo on hood from a run in with a pole (the pole lost), wood gone out of the back, and frame rails cut wider for a radiator that was cut down and crammed in. But it sounds mean and still gets from a to b while scaring small children in my neighborhood.
the tank is all its splendor the first day I saw it my mirrorless mirror missing wood from bed with tires the PO "gave" me huge hole in my fender bent bumper and smashed in rear bed post what little is left of the white paint the two tones of a TERRIBLE rattle can paint job in my interior

Re: April 2011 Truck of The Month
guys please review the first post with the specifications to this months contest. I see several nominated that are not following the requirements listed. Though we LOVE to see them all, only the ones fitting this months theme will be considered.
Thanks! |

Re: April 2011 Truck of The Month
Unmatching paint plus three visible defects (patina doesn't count) leaves only a few eligible from what's posted so far,IMHO. Who knew whateva had so many rules! Glad I don't have to pick
