Rear Lights

This is the last thing I must do before sending my truck for inspection bodywork and paint etc. On the drivers side only the marker works, on the passenger only the taillight, no brake lights, unsure of reverse but I believe they work (don't have any single contact bulbs). Sockets don't seem to be bad (checked them with a little tester). Could it just be these sockets grounds gone bad? Probably sound like an idiot but ah well, just excited to be near completion and want to do it all correctly. Thanks,
Matt

I have it grounded (as far as I know) now and all my lights are working. BUT the taillight stays very dim by itself on the drivers side and on the passenger side if you turn on the lights and hit the turn signal the turn signal won't work. Any ideas? Sorry to be such a nuissance.
Matt,

It could be something simple as having the wrong bulb(ex a heavy duty bulb-thicker filament-where a standrd duty bulb goes I'm sorry i don't recall the numbers right off).On the right turn sigal are all the park lights working? If you have a bulb out sometimes they won't flash.Circuit is wired in series. Also could be an incorrect flasher.Have you checked all the sockets for corrosion? And use die-elctric grease on your bulb bases to prevent corrosion.
