Hey guys I'm in the middle of rebuilding the power steering box on my 1970 c10 and I noticed that the ball bearings are all the same color (or appear to be). I always heard that they are suppose to be two different colors and you alternate them. Are our boxes different and the bearings all the same size? Thanks again in advance.

There should be two ball sizes. The smaller ball is used as a spacer between the load carring balls. I would suggest using a micrometer to check the balls for size. You will want to put smaller balls in between the larger balls as without the spacer balls some binding can develope.

Thanks I was just curious. Ended up separating the bearing by shining a halogen light on them (still had a gold tarnish to them). Guess the dye wears off after 40 years.
