Big block mounts

Looking for the RUBBER the 2 piece kind from 68-71. I am looking for new. The GM dealer doesn't have them anymore and there is no listing at NAPA. What I am doing is moving my small block backwards with the big block stands so the fan will sit in the same place with the serpentine kit. I already have to do the exhaust anyways and I am putting in a gear vendor.

I installed a small block in the stock location using all of my stock big block mounts. Rubbers and all. I went to get a new rubber mount & they showed the newer style mounts for the 396 but showed the one I needed listed under 6 cyl. I got it at O'rielly auto parts. It may be worth going back to check...corn

I am using the big block steel frame stands, so I need the big block cushions--upper and lower.

We are doing a search and have found one set so far for one of our Canadian customers. I may have a couple more coming. These have been discontinued now from GM and so far nobody that we know of is reproducing them. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

lmc has them, part #34-0329, their price is$79.95 plus shipping. that's the spring 2005 (cb.40) catolog. I just happen to find a summer 2001 catolog first and the price is 39.95, wow. If you don't want to order from the idiots at lmc, bill at vintage chevy trucks, 510-651-5874, in fremont ca, should also have the mounts. the mounts are made in india, not tawian, isn't that a surpise. Make sure you tap the nut in the mount before you start a bolt in it, you won't be happy with the results if you don't! hope this helps. good luck!

You can use pads from a small block. All you do is use a bigger washer. Txfirefighter posted a how-to thread on this. I did it, worked great, cost about $20 (and I had a pair of big block cushions).
