Scored a 4L80E today

Made the trade with a buddy a couple weeks ago, but did not get it till today. It is a 2wd unit I will have to change the tail shaft in and then bend over hard and buy the Advanced Adapters 205 adapter kit. I have thought about modifying a TH400 to work, but by the time I spent the time and money piece mealing it, it is not that much more to just buy the kit. Anyways, no worries now with a weak transmission driving a 400 hp LT-1, posi 3.73 rear with 325-18 (33") tires. I will be posting pics once the front driveline is in a engine/tranny is mounted.

Sounds cool.I`m curious what it would take to mount a figure"8"mount NP205 to a 4wd 4l80e that had a NP241 behind it.Am I good to go?Or,are shafts/splines different?

You will have to use a TH400/205 mount and do some parts hunting and machine work, or go buy the unit I am and be done with it.
