WIW 72 CST Blazer #2?

OK guys want to know what you think. I can buy this CST for $1500. Has single wall top(is that air deflector on top factory?) Top does have a sunroof in it,looks like a very neat job. Blazer is pretty rust free except for doors of course. Quarters and fenders aren't bad just a little bubbling around flares someone put on her. Has swing away spare tire carrier, cruise control, dealer add on air conditioning(no freon),and tilt steering(spring I think is broken). Don't know if motor is original(second owner says it is). Only large drawback is he says transmission needs rebuilding.Haven't heard her run but all I have to do is make trip and he'll crank her up he says.My wife found her but she is mad at me cause I have 71 torn down in shop while I wait for my "body man-neighbor" to come and help me some. Anyway was just wondering what you guys think, good second project or waste of money that could go on 71? Hope I remember how to do these pics.

I'd say it's worth the money...but what do I know.

Go for it!

Looks pretty decent for the price. The wind deflector isn't factory, either is the sun roof. The sun roof basically ruins the singlewall top's value, but if you don't mind it, it doesn't matter. You could part it and recoupe the investment pretty quick (but that truck is too complete to part!)

I don't think i'd go 1500, i'd shoot for 1000 or less since it's not driveable, just my opinion.

Here in Ks its worth the $1500, tranny rebuild cost me $650 a year ago, if you wanted to drive it. Alot of good parts as Bouncy said. Factory Cruise and Tilt would almost be worth half of what he's asking.

That's the argument I am using on the missus. Didn't know about tilt steering what with spring broken but I figured cruise and spare tire carrier was worth a little. How about coming over and helping me out. She listens to others better than she does me!

Oh yeah original asking price was $2500. We TALKED for a while!

Re: WIW 72 CST Blazer #2?

I say go for it, I got mine for $1000 with a bad tranny and a great running motor, Looked like the x-case adaptor broke on mine and snapped the back of the tranny in half. Mine was almost identical minus the cruise control

Re: WIW 72 CST Blazer #2?

I would get it if you have the cash. I paid 1200 for mine with bad tires, no motor, seats and a lot of little stuff.
