Squarebody rear end in a 66

Okay y'all, from what I have searched would a squarebody rear end fit in a 66'?
Truck is GMC so we plan on moving leaf spring perches and I've found it's 1.5" longer. Is this true? Are there any other problems?
Thanks.

Yes it will. They are 1.5" wider than your 66. GM changed to a 10 bolt sometime in mid/late 80's and it would also work. You will need to chop the spring perches off if your 66 is coil sprung. Capt fab has coil mounts for you. Good luck!
