I got my seats I need help!

I got these seats from an 03 Silverado! anything I can do to make them fit properly in my truck ? Someone said they'd be about 3\4 of the way up my back window and my head would be in my headliner.. I wanted to know if I could take the bottom brackets off?

These are all the pics I have for now.

i will get more pictures tomorrow.

Re: I got my seats I need help!

You'll probably have to make your own custom brackets for them, and you did really damn good if you got em both for $100.

Re: I got my seats I need help!

The seats are worth many times what you paid. As mentioned, they will work but will require custom brackets. A very strong attachment point is needed for the seat belt.

Re: I got my seats I need help!

Hence the Need to Beef Up the Brackets.... They have to Hold the Occupant in Place... The Brackets Have To Be Strong enough to take the Stress of not just the seat movement BUT also the Added Stress of the occupant as well.... the Old style are bolted to some of the Strongest points in the vehicle

Re: I got my seats I need help!

Try to put them in the truck and mock them up if they are to tall cut the bottom bracket until they fit lower

Re: I got my seats I need help!

I'm putting some like those in my 83, I had to ditch the power option on mine which kinda sucked but ill be posting up some pictures when we get them finished. It hasn't been to easy but I think its worth it. With the factory brackets your head will most likely be to high, I'm 6'3'' so I was forced to take the factory brackets off. Can't tell you how long it will be before their in or how pretty the bracket were making will be. Good luck with them yours look a lot better than mine

Re: I got my seats I need help!

I got those same style seats, in my truck. They are quite heavy, and I do believe that you can put them in your truck with no problem. The only concern that you sholud have is making sure you have plenty of support to hold them down to the floor should you happen to be in a accident since the seatbelt is integrated into it. I think some 1/4 inch steel plates should be suffucient as additional support. There are only two wires that need to be hooked up for the seat to functions to work, its the power and ground. I forget what color they are. I was told that for the heated seats to work you would have to have the ECM and complete harness.

Re: I got my seats I need help!

You paid 100.00?? Thats a steal, I paid $200.00 and felt like that was a great deal. You can't find these seats anywhere online for less than $600.00.

Re: I got my seats I need help!

Well, if you can triple your money and your a super nice guy go for it. I wouldn't let them go for less than 500.00 at minimum. Plus they are black, a color I think that is most popular for seat choice.
