56 Chev Garage build
I have to use phone pics my wife took the camera with her on Xmas Vacation in Arizona to visit our Kids.
So far I installed MK II TCI crossmember, Drop spindles, Tubular A Arms (Egay find) looked Like Heidts?, 80's GM Van Tilt (FREE) , Black Powdered Coated Exhaust Headman for 57 car fit good, why $50 thats why. Replaced all the usual rust area's. 89 Chevy Seat, Factory Radio and it works, Option on dash clock I am not sure if I will install already painted dash. New winshield my daughter works for Gorilla Glass company in Arizona got to buy at their cost. Smoking deal on that so we wont talk about it just to let you know auto glass companies have a big mark up. Rear Fuel Tank 67 Mustang modified to use original 56 fuel sender, Rear suspension= Dearched Spring, Flipped, C-Notched and Boxed rear Frame, 12 Bolt Chevelle 396 Rear End (free) from an old wreck when I was young and Crazy. New 1967 Camaro Radiator welded strips 3/8 on core support ( I dont like original sticking in the air thats just me) Last edited by Rude Dude; 12-30-2010 at 11:50 PM. |

Re: 56 Chev Garage build
For info the rear shocks are new gas KYB's they are listed as 65 Ford Econoline Van perfect fit for lowered rear. Found on Amazon dot com for 63 dollars each in case anyone is interested. The Brake Booster is Corvette 1968 and pedal is 67-72 Truck cut down to fit real easy. I am to Dam Old To crawl under truck and it is just going to be a nice driver for work any how.

Re: 56 Chev Garage build
Pics of cut down 89 Seat brackets,I pie cut 1'' at rear bracket, I dont like back top of seat viewed from rear window that's me, plus it tilts the seat more comfortable position. I have leather covers and steering wheel small 1956 Chevy Car Steering Wheel (China Made) bought at Pomona Swamp Meet from importer. Bit of advice wait til the seller is packing up he gave to me for $225 they list for over $300 on web. The pics are of Seat in Truck with foam (to much body filler dust to dirty new seat covers)

Re: 56 Chev Garage build
I forgot to add a comment about wheels. The rear are 15x8 Corvette rallys with rounded over trim ring (Stock), Front are 15x7 rally wheels from camaro with 90's GMC Safari van trim rings match perfect! (stock camaro are square edge and dont match vette style) Sorry about the pics but at least you can the style rings for info

Re: 56 Chev Garage build
Today cut out the inside fender wheels to clear MK II A Arms and took all that crappy tar stuff that the factory gets crazy with! All that is left is to weld up unessary holes and a little body work
