Re: need lots of interior screws......

Check at Lowes or Home Depot and them paint them yourself. Just screw them all into a piece of cardboard and and shoot them with a spray can. That's what I do because I hate to spend money on stuff I can do myself.

Re: need lots of interior screws......

You can't find one screw on the entire truck that is the size you need? I guess you could buy or two of different sizes and try them. I bought a pack of #8 x 1" screws at Auto Zone recently to reinstall my tail light lense on my 79. The #8s look close to fitting tail lights, head lights and trim. The interior trim my take something a little smaller in diameter.

Re: need lots of interior screws......

I think I paid $2.50 for a pack of eight at Auto Zone. There were four 1" and four 1 1/8" screws. Stainless steel. The 1" screws fit the tail lights perfectly. I hope that gets you started.

Re: need lots of interior screws......

If you dont mind a little ride, theres an excellent yard near gaffney off 11. It would be about an hour or so ride, but it may be worth it.

Re: need lots of interior screws......

I've found replacement screws for our truck's interiors at Ace and True Value hardware stores. You have to be careful, since one size screw doesn't fit all the applications. Too long or too short of a screw and you're screwed!

Re: need lots of interior screws......

I second Harbor Freight first, ebay second, google search third - but check all before your buy. There are specialty interior suppliers on the net who sell these screws for low cost - and you can order exactly the correct screw for each application. These are special heads - I think often a #6 oval head with a #8 shank, and other sizes. Check it out.

its an 82. and that looks exactly like what i need at a fairly decent price. i'll have to make sure its the ones i need. but at least i know people have them as a set!

worse case i guess i'll just need to sit down and figure out which ones i need for what and then determine the measurements and go from there.

thanks for the replys!

Re: need lots of interior screws......

I think so, all the screws on these trucks seem to #8 or #10s.
Just different lengths. Those kits seem to have several different lengths of the screws.
