New guy with an oxymoron of a project, thoughts?
All the information is available in my siggy, but I'll explain a bit more. I have a '81 Silverado C10 (I can't remember what package, but it's the step down from the top of the line model they made that year). I plan on leaving the outside the outrageously aggressive boxy style with slight modifications (i.e. the exhaust exiting before the rear tires in a hole in the panel, either square tip or the NASCAR Truck Series style tip, possibly custom fender flares to make the bodylines more aggressive, and a billet phantom grille).
The interior will be a 50's style throwback. Planning on a '55 Bel-Air style steering wheel, custom gauge faces and dash tops to be the same color as the outside, while the underside will be the filler color of the stripe down the side of the truck (body color will be Candy Cherry Apple Red while the stripe will be a marbled cream, white, and peach to resemble parchment color). And on the stripe will be a mural of the old horse brush style Oriental paintings. The stripe will continue around the back end of the truck, with the tailgate handle shaved to the inside of the bed. The tail lights will remain with the same glass that it came with, but have an LED conversion kit, same with the headlights. Some reference pictures can be found on my blog site. Although the mural idea on the side isn't totally what I have in my head. You have to make all of those things with basic shapes, so I ran out of available layers since there's only 64 allowed per top, driver side, and passenger side, and 15 for the front and rear. If I end up getting Forza 3 I will most likely mock this up onto one of the trucks they have on there. Any thoughts on this crazy idea?

Yeah... I can't believe in owning this truck for a year I never noticed the Silverado dash badge above the glove box. Haha, I went out to find out some more information about my truck and found out that in my manual it says my gas motor can pull 6,000 lbs, while the diesel pulls only 2,000 from that year.

Thanks! I hope it comes out looking as tight and aggressive as your '87. Never thought I'd meet someone else from BA on here either, haha.
